Snowflake in the CNY

Brought Tzia Tzia, Tzia Tshen, Michelle Tan and Michelle Lau to Snowflake today. I adore that place recently. Ever since I went with Adrian and Stephanie. Taiwanese dessert won my heart away. Located right opposite the ever crowded Asia Cafe, same row with the Starbucks, Snowflake is harder to be spotted like any other shop. Cause it's on the 1st floor! XD

The food here is fairly cheap, ranging around Rm3.00 - Rm5.00. Affordable lah. 6 people eat also RM22 only. The ambiance is simple and comforting, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Why not try it out eh?
Pearl Tau Fu Fa. Not as smooth as others in the vendor van but it definitely is still my love. There are tons of combination you can try with the Tau Fu Fa (or what they call Dou Hua 豆花 in Taiwan). Peanut, lotus seed, red bean, green bean, pearl and etc. XD
Ai Yu Bing. A mixture of frozen lime juice plus jelly around it.
Pearl Milk Tea. Literally the name suggest what's inside. Go figure.

Tzia Tzia said is impossible to squeeze 5 people in a camwhore picture. Mind the location, it's the highway. I proved my point. I won. =)
The girls requested for a photo. See the cool looking circular device on the table? Apparently it replaced the old number tag method and this device will light up like a UFO when your food is ready. It's a self service cafe after all.

Adapting the simple design, Tshen also commented that the toilet is surprisingly clean and comfortable. After I realized that there's people in my class that have toilet wetness intolerance, I noted that this toilet will be completely "Wet Free" guaranteed.

Oh ya, in conjunction of CNY, the boss, Jimmy gave us You Tiao 油条 for freeeeeeeeeee. (Bedtime Stories inside joke.)

I also made Tzia Tzia liking this place already. Hey, I liked it too.

P/S: The comp is hating me now. You wanna see more pictures? Go find Tzia Tzia.

Snowflake

I went to Snowflake that day, with Adrian and Stephanie.

Snowflake is a Taiwan dessert cafe right opposite of Asia Cafe, the same row as Starbucks Coffee, on the 2nd floor.

The price was okay, ranging from RM3.50 - RM 5.50 per dessert. The portion wasn't that big, but it was a new experience afterall.

This is how the cafe looks like. The cafe is not very big, the chairs unfortunately weren't anywhere near comfortable.

It's self service. The waiter will give you something like this after you placed your order and scream for your number when the food is ready:

The food was okay, I ordered Ai Yu Bing, a combination of jelly, lime, sugar and ice. Oh, I also ordered Soya Milk.

Didn't have a chance to take Stephanie's Snowflake bestseller grass jelly something, but it tasted like Cendol with Taro balls.

A cheaper alternatives for Starbucks. =)

Twisted Ankle

I shall refrain from using foul language to express my unluckiness.

Today I suppose to help out at the Youth 09 convention, as well as the next two days. I woke up early in the morning and with lots of hopes and expectation, I think I will learn a lot of stuff and meet a lot of people today. I get ready to shower and I miss the tiny little step between my kitchen and the toilet.

I freaking sprained my ankle. Just like that. It went 90 degree backward, even perpendicular with the floor surface.

Therefore, I am stuck at home for three days.

Will be online, where else can I be?

I had Esther to fetch me to Japanese Class, I said jokingly, to her that if the classroom is going to be at the 2nd floor, I'm going to scream. And so, I hopped all the way into the reception area of ICLS and realized the classroom is located at 3rd floor today.

I was totally speechless.

Luckily the receptionist was kind enough to swap the whole class down to 1st floor. Though I still had to hop, better than 3 times the determined distance right?

By the time I positioned myself nicely at the seat, I was already sweating like hell.

Everyone came into the class and looked at my leg.

Wallet Lost 101

So you lost your wallet, sucks right? You have to be responsible with all the things you lost with, money and most importantly, the documents. What are you going to do then? Tell your parents that you are 18 already, and you will settle that yourself. (Save yourself from the nagging.)

Call your bank 24 hours customer service, inform them that you lost your ATM card. They will require your account details. After that, your current ATM card will be blocked. Don't forget this, very important.

Go to the nearest police station, tell the police you need to make a police report regarding on your wallet lost. Inform them what's inside the wallet, for a typical student you will normally lost your IC, your license, your ATM, your student ID and some cash in it. Make sure in the report he show you before the police print consist of all the items you lost. You will proceed into a room with a higher status of police to certify your report. Pay RM2 for the police report.

Document Replacement
Among all of the lost documents, replace your IC first. All the other documents require your temporary IC for identification purposes.

Checklist
Police Report Original X 1
Police Report Photostatted X 3
License Photo X 1
Replacement Cost = RM150 ~ RM 200
Pen X 1
College Offer Letter X 1

Wear a dark shirt with collar and dress properly.

People in the Subang Jaya, USJ, Klang, PJ, Sunway area and etc may follow this method to go to the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara.

Hop on to the nearest KTM, proceed to KL central. Swap to the LRT and proceed to the Taman Jaya station, which cost RM1.60. Leave the station via the very small gate, the one in the car park without the gigantic electrical towers.

Passing through the small gate you will reach a car park too, the JPJ car park. Yes, Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan is also there. You know what to do later.

You should see the orange/yellow building in front, that's the new makhamah follow the road down and you should see Jabatan Meteologi and Jabatan Kimia at the end of the road all on your right. When you reach to the very end of the road, which is a junction to the main road, identify a big Poh Kong opposite you. Turn to the right, don't go over to Poh Kong, Follow the pavement until you see a building with a lot of "holes" written, Jabatan Persekutuan something something. Go in through the big gate, proceed to the right wing. They have signboards there anyway. Go to the 1st floor, and enter the JPN through an auto sliding door.

In the JPN
Go to the Counter 1 and tell them you lost your IC, let the person see your police report and inform the person you are a student. He will pass you a number, an appeal form and staple your photostated police report all together. Fill up the appeal form to appeal for 50% discount for your IC replacement because you are a student. If you are not a student, then you will just have to pay the full amount.

When the counter called your number in a very funny tone, proceed to the counter. Make sure you don't miss the number, they don't like it. Show her the forms, let the personnel see your college offer letter to prove that you are a student. No, you don't have your student ID, remember? Pay RM60 if your are a student, pay RM110 if you are not a student. You will receive a receipt there. Proceed to counter 15 and 16 to wait for your turn to take photo. You will receive a temporary IC here. You will need to come back here in 2 weeks along with the receipt and the temporary IC to get your replacement IC.

In the JPJ
With your temporary IC, go back to the JPJ car park and look for JPJ which located diagonally with the car park. Enter through the right hand alley, not the main gate. Go to the enquiry counter and tell her you need to replace you license. She will give you a number, wait for it and proceed to the counter when called. Say that you need to replace your license. Show the person your temporary IC and pay RM20. Give the person your photo and wait for your license for around 5 minutes. License Retrieved.

This is the two documents that needs to be done at PJ. Sit the train and go back home. For ATM, student ID please proceed back to the respective places with your police report and your temporary IC for replacement.

If you got yourself lost in any part of the task, just ask.

May the wallet be with you,
ShawnKid

Jog

I enjoy sleeping, oh yes I do. The whole thing is destroyed when your mother wakes up at 7.35am and ask you to jog with her at the Crocodile Farm located at SS12.

Especially when you slept at 3.30am.

Goodness gracious, I was almost running like a zombie for all you know. (If you can imagine how zombies run that is.)

It had been awhile since I jogged. 3 years too be precise, unless you count National Service as a physically stressful activity then it will be a year plus minus since I last ran. Right, the beeping test at the National Service where you have to run between the beeps which gradually get faster to test your physical fitness level.

I did not fail that test. In fact, I was more like above average, to my surprise.

Crocodile farm was like how it looked like 3 years ago. Same flow of people, same route, same scenery, vandalized fitness equipment at the side of the route.

I ran slowly to keep with my mum's pace and didn't stop for the whole 30 minutes run. My leg is aching, at night. I have to exercise more already, I feel damn old. =(
